Trading Update
for the year ended 31 December 2009
Highlights
• Revenues and underlying pre-tax profits ahead of market expectations for 2009;
• Full year revenues expected to be in excess of £49 million;
• Underlying pre-tax profit* expected to be at least £7 million – more than 10 per cent. ahead of current market forecasts;
• Integration synergies achieved ahead of management expectations;
• Net cash at year end in excess of £10 million;
• Strong 2009 performance gives confidence for further continued growth in 2010.

ToLuna, the leading provider of online panels, communities and technology services to the market research industry, is pleased to provide the following trading update on the year ended 31 December 2009.
ToLuna made rapid progress during 2009, the year in which it concluded the major strategic acquisition of the ISS Division of Greenfield Online (“Greenfield Online”) from Microsoft Corporation.
Revenue for the year is expected to exceed £49 million and to be slightly ahead of market expectations. This has been achieved by a strong performance in all territories with significant progress in North America and Europe.
Underlying pre-tax profit (before exceptional integration costs and business combination amortisation) is expected to be at least £7 million, more than 10 per cent. ahead of market expectations.
The integration of Greenfield Online (acquired in July 2009 for $40 million) is being implemented rapidly and successfully, with a strong contribution from its team to the combined group’s performance. This progress in integrating Greenfield Online, which is faster than predicted, has resulted in significant synergies being achieved ahead of management expectations.
The group is generating strong operational cash flow with net cash at the year end in excess of £10 million.
ToLuna now operates panels in 33 countries and has an expanded resource base of more than 4.0 million panellists together with cutting edge respondent technologies. The technological strength of its offering has been reinforced by the acquisition of Greenfield Online.
The combination of strong infrastructure, technological innovation, software as a service, global panels, social voting communities and global resources and expertise creates an excellent platform for the next stage of the Company’s development.
The Board believes that the strong performance in 2009 gives it confidence to expect further continued growth in 2010.
ToLuna expects to report its final results for the year by mid-April 2010.
